Social Media Management

Social media accounts are one of the first points of contact for a potential client or user. I strongly believe social media marketing is imperative to a successful promotional strategy.

Please see below for social media posts I created on a variety of platforms. 

Campaign 1: Instagram

Description:

This post was part of a series I crafted in June 2023 to celebrate the upcoming class of graduates at Eastern Washington University. I created the hashtag #EWUGrad2023 and reached out to our graduates via social media to ask them to submit senior photos. The submissions came flooding in, and I shared a highly successful series, with each post featuring several students. This project was a fantastic way to highlight graduates, and we achieved high levels of engagement.

Description:

One challenge in marketing, especially in an educational setting, is promoting the same highlights at the same time each year. Topics such as events and deadlines often roll around at the same time, so the marketer is challenged to make each year unique and fresh. This post is an example of using Gonzaga University's recognizable mascots to promote an application deadline. When appropriate, Instagram is a wonderful platform to utilize a fun, less formal tone. 

Campaign 2: Twitter

Description:

Short, sweet, and to the point - the Twitter recipe. The photo here tells the whole story so there is no compelling need to add in additional information. Twitter is utilized most effectively in real-time situations. Audiences use Twitter to receive quick updates about the news and thoughts of those they follow. This was Gonzaga Law's most important news of the day and was delivered in a simple but effective manner. 

Campaign 3: Facebook

Description:

This was one of the first posts I crafted for Spokane Community College (SCC). Celebrations and good news are a staple of social media management, so I decided to design a post for SCC's birthday. SCC's mascot is a Sasquatch, and the main student activities building has this Sasquatch statue in the stairwell. After taking the photo, I added graphical elements to the image to put a celebratory spin on the photo's subject. This relatively simple post was very well received and proves that a short caption can go a long way. 

Campaign 4: TikTok

Description:

This post was Eastern Washington University's first foray into TikTok and was a highly successful account launch. I chose an established TikTok trend to start out with and used a trending sound to accompany the video. The account gained more than 100 followers in the first day and garnered several post interactions. I also cross posted this video on EWU's other social media platforms to promote the new social media account.
